One flexible FirstSpirit toolkit for Messe München's websites

Monday Consulting provides a successful solution for a variety of events.

Client

Messe München was founded in 1964 and is today one of the world's leading organizers of fairs and exhibitions. With one of the most modern exhibition centers in the world and a global presence in Europe, Asia, South America, the USA and South Africa, Messe München connects people and markets. The main sectors of the trade fair portfolio include capital goods, technology and consumer goods. This diversity of events also entails different requirements for the associated websites. Messe München relies on modern technologies for its own events and has been working with Monday Consulting for many years.

Initial situation: Three toolkits, one challenge

The websites for Messe München's own events were based on three different FirstSpirit toolkits. This led to high maintenance costs, potential sources of errors and an inconsistent user experience. To enable editors to work more efficiently and use technical resources in a more targeted manner, the decision was made to standardize on a single toolkit. The aim was to create a flexible, powerful and future-proof solution that would meet the individual requirements of the various events as well as the technical and organizational needs of Messe München.

One flexible toolkit for maximum efficiency

Monday Consulting advised Messe München on the optimal implementation of the toolkit and took over the technical conception and implementation of this ambitious project. The FirstSpirit experts developed a modern, modular solution that optimally supports the specific requirements of the current 40 event websites. The focus was on creating a flexible and scalable architecture that enables intuitive content editing and at the same time unifies technical standards. Thanks to close collaboration, it was possible to implement a solution that ensures long-term efficiency and sustainable further development.

“With the new, standardized toolkit, we were able to create a future-proof solution together with Messe München that optimally combines efficiency, scalability and editorial flexibility. A project that shows how technical standardization can create real added value.”

The change to a single toolkit led to numerous advantages

  • Faster editing: editors can now edit and publish content faster and more efficiently.
  • Reduced susceptibility to errors: Standardized technical standards minimize potential sources of error.
  • Improved time-to-market: New features and improvements can be implemented more quickly and rolled out to all websites.
  • Synergy effects: All websites benefit from a common technical basis, which simplifies maintenance and further development.

Future-proof through standardization

The implementation of a standardized toolkit not only enables more efficient work processes, but also creates a solid basis for future developments. Thanks to the continuous optimization of the toolkit, new requirements can be integrated quickly without affecting existing websites. The close collaboration between the technical experts at Monday Consulting and Messe München led to the successful completion of the project and ensures long-term, sustainable optimization of the digital infrastructure.
