At the beginning of last year, Crownpeak Technologies, an American manufacturer of SaaS CMS solutions, announced its intention to buy Dortmund-based e-Spirit GmbH. Now – more than a year later – the most important steps have been taken, first changes are visible and there is more clarity.
As a "Premier Partner" of e-Spirit we were invited to Crownpeak's two-day Level-Up Conference in Berlin earlier this month. Here we not only got to know our new American colleagues, but were also able to learn a lot about the future development of the FirstSpirit DXP. As a result of the merger, e-Spirit GmbH, which was previously a subsidiary of Adesso SE, will shed its name, but the core remains the same: FirstSpirit Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
With this purchase, Crownpeak, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, is pursuing the goal of further expanding FirstSpirit's potential and developing it for the international market in a future-oriented manner. At the same time, the US company gains market access in the EMEA region. The acquisition combines Crownpeak's SaaS-based CMS with e-Spirit's unique selling points. The combination creates an even more agile platform for digital brand experiences and offers even more opportunities for further development through new resources – all based on the FirstSpirit DXP. For customers and partners, this results in a variety of benefits. For example, the support teams and processes from both companies will be merged and expanded into a 24x7 support service. Furthermore, additional products such as Digital Quality Management will be available to support and verify website accessibility. Existing integrations such as our form manager Monday Webforms, which is seamlessly integrated into the FirstSpirit ContentCreator, remain a central component of the CMS.
Our services for you as a FirstSpirit customer will remain as before – whether in the cloud or on-premise. You can read more information about the merger of Crownpeak and e-Spirit in the official press release from the e-Spirit GmbH or on the specially created landing page.
